Oooo I love, love, love these quirky cushions. Aptly named The Marionette Collection, they are by Scandi design whizzes, Ferm Living. Reminiscient of 1950s American children’s books these cute characters – particularly Mr Fox, should totally be adorning the comfy chair in our lounge. Cushions for kids? Pff! £30 a pop – spotted these ones at the wonderful Lollipop Shoppe.
I know we’re not meant to like bugs, and I’ll be the first to swipe at a wasp after my sandwiches at a picnic, but these insect-inspired designs by UK based Warbeck & Cox are the bee’s knees! I stumbled across them while browsing the excellent Poppytalk monthly online street market. The Grasshopper cushion above costs £40.
How about offering your dinner guests these beetle napkins. £20 for a set of four. They don’t just go mad for bugs, either. I rather fancy this Key mug (£10) and the fab irons teatowel (£8.50)!
Who said domesticity had to be boring??
This rash of hot weather has put me in the mood for the great outdoors. So to help you all feel the spring time vibes, here are a few nice little finds from around and about…
First up, check out this great little site. Idyll Home . There is a lot of amazing stuff here, be warned, but I have picked out a few things that made me smile…
This super swish indoor outdoor plastic mat would look rather good in my little courtyard garden – it comes in a few colours, but I like the purple: £27.
Next another purple pretty: this kitchen storage box makes me want to spring clean my cupboards! £12.
Bring the springtime bloom into your bedroom with this stunning ‘Fluttering light’ curtain – but have a look at the other curtains in this range from Anthropologie…breathtaking!
