Adoring all things vintage, retro and downright quirky

Monthly Archives: March 2012

There seems to be a wealth of squirrely goodies popping up in fashion and interiors and I for one love it! Our little woodland friends make for cute jewellery and quirky textile prints – here are a few little treats to tempt you – though you might simply want to squirrel them away for keepsakes!

Above is the rather formidable ceramic ring box by Jonathan Adler (my new interior crush). Buy it at Heals for £149

Ok so it’s not strictly a squirrel but oh I do like it! Silk Purse Sows Ear over on Etsy sells these rather lovely vintage acorn charm necklaces for £14 each.

Or how about this rather swish vintage-stamp inspired cushion? Made by Touch Wood Design, it’s one of a series of limited edition makes. I loves it! £68.

Forget crystal and glass or boring old brass. Change your knobs and inject a touch of the woodland to your cupboards and drawers. This beauty is £6 from Anthropologie. Must…buy…

Adieu for now…

Look what I found! This amazing bunting is created by the very talented Claire Ong – check out her Etsy shop. She crafts under the name of Baloolah Bunting and I adore her take on the traditional – making it really modern and beautifully crafted – great for those that prefer a contemporary design to the tried and tested shabby chic. Perfect for those summer weddings…

Get a load of these funky vice jars, by Jonathan Adler. I love them – although having to explain to my daughter what the words mean, might not be so great. Perhaps more for singletons or kidless people! But I still adore them. Just the right mix of circus quirk and preppiness. Thumbs up from me! They start at £28 for the little Dolls canister.
