I’m a bit late to the party on this one, as I wrote this post back in September but life got in the way and I didn’t get around to publishing it. That said, this trend is not going anywhere! Whether it’s panda pillows, budgie bedding, polar bear pottery or elephant…well everything, animals are HUGE in interiors. Here is my pick of some lush lovelies I’ve seen around and about….
I love cats (we have one called Bourneville) despite being allergic to them! So when this little darling popped up on my Instagram feed (@vintageverity) I was drooling! This little lady costs £59.99 from kit-cat.co.uk (there are lots of other colours too).
Another find was this poster from Indieprints on Etsy (I bought the last one, sorry!) but you can source similar elsewhere…
Lastly, this pretty peter pan collar blouse by Sugarhill – ain’t it just the cat’s whiskers?
Well this is my first post of 2016 and one of my NY resos was to make sure I post more this year. At the moment, I am rather partial to collecting things, and plates are a passion. There are so many interesting designs out there but here are a few of my picks…enjoy!
9. Orla Kiely Elephant Serving Platter, £18, amara.com
requently! As January yawns on, the only thing that really piques my interest is the interior design wish list that I have for the next year…one thing I really want to do is find a place for the collection of plates that I have been adding to over the last few years, but here are a couple of lovely new additions that I plan to snaffle…
Animals still feature massively in accessories so I love the collection by Lisa Bengtsson.

I’m a terrible blogger, I’ve been so busy moving from the city to the countryside and writing lots of features and doing lots of lovely make-up and hair styling, that I’ve totally neglected my blog! I promise to make amends though, so I thought a pick of my latest swoonsome finds that encompass the three A/W2015 interior trends that I have my beady eye on. It might go some way to say sorry to my lovely readers….:-)
I found this awesome shop called Adairs which is Australian-based (aren’t ALL the beautiful things always from Aus?) and while I think they ship to the UK, it would be great if someone (hint, hint, Britain) might become a supplier? Anyhoo, I’m coveting the cloud covers for my two little girls’ new bunk beds. I had to suffer brown gingham in the 1970s on my bed, so my girls are going to get something p-r-e-t-t-y! They cost around $AUD99 for a single which is like £45. Pricey but nicey! This is the colour pop trend in a nutshell – pretty bright splashes of rainbow hues against a fresh neutral palette. What’s not to love? Throw in some stripes, a bit of chevron, some polka dots and you’re laughing!
Gosh this is pretty don’t you think?
While we are still at Adairs, I’m totally bagging these gold spot stickers for my new home office – a little pop of gold in the morning is sure to dust away the cobwebs!
Now to some glamour – this is such a hot trend at the moment in interiors, and one I’m quite partial to – not the whole shebang, mind, just a sprinkling here and there…take this teeny gold geometric vase, for example, I love it! It’s EUR10 from Aprilandthebear.com.
Another trend that is creeping into the autumn is the decadent gothica styling which is evident in the latest high street offerings. I like elements of this, such as this Edith Cushion found at House Junkie (£72). Just the right amount of macabre fun to make it onto my sofa!
Still at HouseJunkie, check out this angle poise candelabra – I mean, come on! This one might be a tad pricey at £75 but it’s so original! I loves it.
So there we have my autumn edit. I promise I will add more soon! Enjoy x
I hate January (sorry everyone born this month) it’s grey, cold and I’m always skinto. So I dream of nice things that I might be able to afford one day to make myself happier! Yes, it makes me happy! So what?!
So here are some of my picks of niceness to perk up the grey old days this month!
I totally want to snuggle up with this gorgeous cowl by Suzana Davidovic found over on Ravelry. The Calm Cowl looks soft, comfy and has that grey tone I love.
For eating on…
Good old Anthropology never fails to have products with just the right amount of quirk to be cool. Take this Natural World Dessert Plate, £16. I would probably be tempted to put it on my wall rather than hide it away in the cupboard!
For my feet!
The Milan Court, £110, from Boden, is a sight to behold! Great for sping, and certainly able to cheer up a miserable January day! Might have to save the pennies for these though…
The Crossbody Leather Mini Bag, £45, from Oliver Bonas is really sweet, bright and I insist on cross body bags – none of this two piddly handles business!
For my wall…
Another Oliver Bonas treat (there are so many!) and one that embraces the on-trend copper colour, this wire letter is only £10 and will look superb on my dining room wall. Hope they cheer y’all up too!
