I’m a bit late to the party on this one, as I wrote this post back in September but life got in the way and I didn’t get around to publishing it. That said, this trend is not going anywhere! Whether it’s panda pillows, budgie bedding, polar bear pottery or elephant…well everything, animals are HUGE in interiors. Here is my pick of some lush lovelies I’ve seen around and about….
I love cats (we have one called Bourneville) despite being allergic to them! So when this little darling popped up on my Instagram feed (@vintageverity) I was drooling! This little lady costs £59.99 from kit-cat.co.uk (there are lots of other colours too).
Another find was this poster from Indieprints on Etsy (I bought the last one, sorry!) but you can source similar elsewhere…
Lastly, this pretty peter pan collar blouse by Sugarhill – ain’t it just the cat’s whiskers?
It’s been aaaages! But I’m back. The kids are older, the nights marginally less sleepless and with so many beautiful things to coo over, I thought it was high time to blog. So dust me down, here are my top picks for March:
Add some spring style to the table with this rather sweet painted glass vase – perfect for tulips and daffs – it really cheers up the kitchen table! Only £7 from Berry Red.
Easter is a mere month away so my head is already being filled with eggy chocolatey goodness and ideas for the kiddlies’ egg hunt – aren’t these egg holders divine? These Beatrix Potter Easter Egg Paper Containers come in 2 sizes and 3 different designs. What’s not to love?
These flowery paper straws will add a vintage touch to your drinks and beat the boring old plastic versions hands-down! £4 for 25.
How’s about some handmade paper flowers? I spotted these over on Etsy. They just make me feel good. You get 8 in a pack. She does all kind of colours – just so pretty! Blossom Pink Handmade Spiral Paper Flowers by Crazy2becrazy, £2.27 .
Lastly, I really want to make one of these: felt bunny pouches created by MerMag – check out her oh-so-brilliant blog Mer Mag where you can download the template too. What a simple but sweet idea for Eater gifts!
I’m back working on fab craft mag, Craftseller after an eight month maternity break and I’m being super-inspired by just about everything in the forthcoming issue! They have just had a new redesign and I love the new look! Check out the Craftseller blog for lots of tips, inspiration and more! Better still, buy the mag 🙂
With Spring in the air (yes and snow and sleet etc too) I thought these woodland kitchen accessories would bring a touch of whimsy to the kitchen….
Owl biscuit barrel £32, Owl storage jar, £35, Owl spaghetti jar £37…
How about your eggies in a birdy egg cup? (£12.95 a pair) – all Graham & Green.
There are loads of fox designs about at the mo, but Felix the Fox by designer Sarah Young is by far my favourite! This brilliant foxy cut-out-and-make cloth kit doubles as a tea towel – neato!
Available from Notonthehighstreet.com for £11.
