Ye Gads! Are you ready for a style and colour overload? I am aghast with the loveliness I have stumbled upon today whilst researching for a feature for Craftseller magazine. I write the best buys pages and was looking for summer essentials for crafters when I spotted Marie Perkin’s City Centre fabric – Oh how pretty! *see image above.
Further prodding about revealed Print and Pattern blog’s latest post on Brighton-based Sukie’s bloomin lovely postcard designs (below). As I am currently doing up the nursery for baby number two (due in August!) I think this would make a splendid addition!
Oh go on, one more….this foxy treat is by another home-grown talent called Scion – they are fabric desginers and I really like this little fellow!
Simple, stunning and classic, this ‘La Pera’ screenprint can be bought at The Lollipop Shoppe for a budget busting £165. Designed by Enzo Mari n 1963 for Danese Milano, Italy, it is certainly a stylish investment. See my other post on the wonderful world of illustration and graphic design.
A definite addition to my lust list – just found this beautiful ‘Claret’ brooch and I simply must have it! £45 from Radichi – a great little online shop selling all kinds of whimiscal bits and bobs .
Ok, so I know i’m not a kid, but the rather swish ‘mobile home’ for children they sell on their site is so ace – I’m sure it will inspire a generation of ‘grand designers’ for a decrepid Kevin McCloud to pester! Still, I rather fancy one myself, with eight well-proportioned rooms and even an attic to store up all your brick-a-brack, at least in this market you can get a property at a snip – only £15 – how cool!

It’s Friday, which means the weekend and I cannot tell you just how relieved I am that the week is over! So happy, that I have dedicated today to my ‘Bag Lusts’ – I do hope you enjoy my offerings!
First up is the fabulous Emma Gordon who creates exquisite bags such as the one above and also the one below (so good she warrants two images!) The prices are very reasonable too – this clutch below costs a mere £44- and it’s sooooo pretty!
Or how about the quirky Lost in Love tote by Every Little Counts – a snip at $18 and you can buy online.

Oh go on, one more, it IS Friday afterall…
One for my Lust List…
This rather fab piece of ceramic wall art can be purchased from In My Room – a cool little shop that can be found in trusty, old North Laine, Brighton. It costs £75 but be warned, there is a waiting list! I am already dropping big fat hints to my other half as my birthday is only in February (10th, if you are interested!)
I think it’s going to be as popular as the “For, like ever” poster from Village…you heard it here first!
