Oh my! You know when you have found a special little place when it has its own theme tune! Dear little online shop “Hop,hop, hop” is so lovely, I spent ages there. I totally recommend putting your headphones on when browsing! This heart necklace and bracelett set is just one of many truly unique and dainty creations in the shop…

Just a quick post to flag up some really cute and unique gifts I have stumbled across whilst on my travels. If you are ever in Amsterdam and get the chance to visit Egg Merchantile on Lelie Straat, then you simply must drop in for a browse.
They sell some simply exquisite pieces of design, from trays and ceramic ornaments to wall hangings accessories. For example, how about some good old fashioned animalia? Check out these large serving trays from ibride (above) I particularly like the Crow Conquistador – very ornithological-theatrical – and guaranteed to be a talking point at your cocktail party.
And this set of 4 cast porcelain flying birdies below are handmade in Denmark by Trine Weng and Susan Liebe, otherwise known as the Casalinga team. They cost €55 and provide an interesting and modern take on the three flying ducks.
Or what about Élise Lefebvre’s “Wonderland” collection of woodland creature immortalised in porcelain? I love the little fox pendant but the birdies and piggies are super cute too (€65)
Now, I don’t know about you, but I am a fan of surprises, and the clever and creative Lola Goldstein’s sweet range of porcelin ‘creatures’ just makes me smile. I love, love, love the little nut fellow (below.)
Finally, I fallen for the charms of Lyndie Dourthe whose beautiful ‘Oiseaux’ brooches are inspired by the images taken from the 17th & 18th Century encyclopedia illustrations. The images are transferred onto coarse cotton canvas and then stuffed and stitched to within an inch of their little lives. They also have a little silver plated pin attached so you can wear them as a brooch and they come in their own painted boxes – exquisite – and only €26 each!
That’s your lot for now…happy shopping.
Go forth and shop!
Mod Cloth has a good range of vintage inspired and genuine pieces. I have selected this lovely frilly dress and shoes as the two that jump out at me…
Pinks Daily Planner is another cool vintage find. Again, not all authentic pieces but a good range of original one-offs and rather beautifully designed garments. Here are a couple i rather fancy (though a little on the pricey side!)
This looks like it’s straight off Tretchikoff’s Green Lady! Fab!
Navy and polka dots? Brilliant – and a snip – $23
Try 1918 Vintage for 70s and 80s gear like this cute Dolly ruffle shirt and seahorse pendant that doubles up as a comb – nifty!
If you haven’t come across I heart Cheeky Chops and you are a die-hard (ahem) 80s lover, then you really should check it out. It’s got hand picked vintage attire and is super cheap. Perhaps not really to my taste as I was a child of the 80s and would rather forget that era, personally, but if you are in to it, get over there and knock yourself out!
(I do, however, love this silver belt and it’s only a tenner!)
For beautiful vintage jewellery – check out This Charming Girl. Really good price and totally original designs – get there quick because it is becoming well known (boo to the masses!)
Super cute jewels can be found at Poison Apple NY including this “I love horses” pendant.
And over on Etsy, Vintage Bureau has these lovely red pearl set for sale – they will set off any outfit a treat.
While Immaculate Heart Vintage has some shoes to die for! And a good price at $20 and $22 respectively.
That concludes my vintage online shopping extravaganza (for now)
Have a good weekend, y’all x
