Adoring all things vintage, whimsical and downright quirky

It’s that time of year again, when we wrack our brains for ideas of what gifts we would like to find nestled under the Christmas tree…
So I’m going to be awfully helpful to you ladies, and infuse your day with some divine inspiration in the form of these elegant, beautifully designed, British made items of lingerie. I guarantee, they will not only make you feel like a bonefide Hollywood screen siren, but if you have one, they will most likely go down pretty well with your other halves. Drop those hints, ladies!

Channel your inner Garbo and immerse yourself in pure Hollywood glamour with this 1930’s lounging robe in peach, £85 from What Katie Did.
What Katie Did creates such pretty colourful seamed stockings from just £10 a pair! I love the baby blue hues.
Satin french knickers, £31 from Pandora’s Choice – coupled with the bullet bra for a totally authentic shape and style (and comfort too!)
Be seen to be chic collecting the milk from the doorstep in the Shelly Midnight blue three piece pyjama set – £79 from Kiss Me Deadly. It includes a pretty cami top, satin bottoms and a gorgeous wrap around robe!
How sweet is this Bettie Page long line over wired emerald bra, £50, by Playful Promises, available from Kiss Me Deadly Lingerie?
Cinch that waist with the Cupcake waspie suspenders, £138 from Buttress and Snatch.
A pretty pink cotton poplin waspie boned suspender belt which is beautifully trimmed with a sweet broiderie anglaise and oodles of frills, lace and satin.

You can always rely on a pair of pretty red shoes to lift the spirits on a Wednesday morning – and aren’t these just peachy? These Chia Mihara Osmo sandals (yes, really!) cost £225 and I found them on a rather nifty little online vintage-inspired boutique called Ruby Plum. Choc full with gorgeous dresses, knits and bags, the only problem is deciding what to keep in my basket!

I have had my eye on this Marianne bag (£130) for some time and may have to start dropping some p-r-e-t-t-y heavy hints soon to the other half. Surely I deserve it?!?!!

For all of those vintage-fanciers out there, I have pulled together some of the finest vintage shopping on the web for your delictation…

Go forth and shop!

Mod Cloth has a good range of vintage inspired and genuine pieces.  I have selected this lovely frilly dress and shoes as the two that jump out at me…

Pinks Daily Planner is another cool vintage find. Again, not all authentic pieces but a good range of original one-offs and rather beautifully designed garments. Here are a couple i rather fancy (though a little on the pricey side!)

The Vintage Mode is another great find…and Back Steet Vintage is a super online shop, and with bonefidee vintage gear to satisfy the most ardant of fashionistas…

This looks like it’s straight off Tretchikoff’s Green Lady! Fab!

Navy and polka dots? Brilliant – and a snip – $23

Try 1918 Vintage for 70s and 80s gear like this cute Dolly ruffle shirt and seahorse pendant that doubles up as a comb – nifty!

If you haven’t come across I heart Cheeky Chops and you are a die-hard (ahem) 80s lover, then you really should check it out.  It’s got hand picked vintage attire and is super cheap. Perhaps not really to my taste as I was a child of the 80s and would rather forget that era, personally, but if you are in to it, get over there and knock yourself out!

(I do, however, love this silver belt and it’s only a tenner!)

For beautiful vintage jewellery – check out This Charming Girl. Really good price and totally original designs – get there quick because it is becoming well known (boo to the masses!)

In fact I’m a bit addicted to jewellery at the moment – here’s some more goodies for you…

Super cute jewels can be found at Poison Apple NY including this “I love horses” pendant.

And over on Etsy, Vintage Bureau has these lovely red pearl set for sale – they will set off any outfit a treat.

While Immaculate Heart Vintage has some shoes to die for! And a good price at $20 and $22 respectively.

That concludes my vintage online shopping extravaganza (for now)

Have a good weekend, y’all x
